New to the Club
Start Here
You don't need kit, experience or a booking. Turn up in comfortable clothes and we'll do the rest.
What to Expect
Roller hockey is played on quad skates with a stick and ball, five a side, on a hard court. It's fast, it's a team game, and most people are moving around confidently within a few sessions.
Your first three sessions are free
We'll lend you skates, a stick and pads so you can find out whether you enjoy it before spending anything. After that there's a membership and a weekly session fee — a coach will talk you through it.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothes you can move in — tracksuit bottoms rather than shorts
- Trainers for getting to and from the rink
- A water bottle
- Nothing else — skates, stick and pads are loaned
How old do you have to be?
We run teams from Under 9s to seniors, and a beginners' group that takes any age. The youngest start at around five; the oldest members are in their fifties.
Parents
You're welcome to stay and watch, and most parents do. The club is family-run and a lot of our coaches, referees and timekeepers started as parents on the sideline.
