Sponsor the Club
1984-founded, family-run, and one of the most successful roller hockey clubs in the country. Your support keeps it that way.
Why We Need You
No Weather, But Real Bills
Roller hockey is an indoor sport. No mud, no rain, no freezing your toes off on a sports field in the depths of winter. Sounds too good to be true? It almost is. Played indoors, roller hockey requires a full sports hall, sized to fit at least four badminton courts. That means venue hire for training and tournaments is expensive — LRHC spends over £30,000 a year on hall hire, and we receive no funding to cover these costs. That means we rely on membership fees, member fundraising and sponsorship to keep our club running.
On top of hall hire, roller hockey equipment is expensive. We're happy to loan kit to our newest members when they begin their journey with LRHC, but buying new skates, sticks and pads is always a blow to a parent's bank balance. So we fundraise everywhere we can — at every home tournament, with raffles, games and the sale of food and drink where allowed; through sweepstakes and EasyFundraising; and through members who take on personal sponsorship challenges. Most recently, Coen and his dad took part in the Three Peaks Challenge and raised approximately £500 for LRHC.
But we can't keep growing and delivering the most accessible, high-quality training without outside help. We're looking for sponsors who want to fund training or equipment, sponsor a Premier League home game, a team throughout their season, or our female players as they embark on their first experiences of single-sex hockey. If you or your business are interested in supporting young, dedicated local children in their development, and in keeping our family-run club thriving in a difficult financial climate, please get in touch to discuss sponsorship options. No amount is too small, and all enquiries are gratefully received.
What Your Sponsorship Funds
Where the Money Goes
Hall hire
Over £30,000 a year, with no funding to cover it. It is the club's single biggest cost, and the one sponsorship helps most.
Free loan kit
Skates, sticks and pads lent to anyone trying the sport, so cost is never the reason a child doesn't start.
Opportunity
Travel to tournaments, academy camps and national competition for players who earn it — currently unfunded, so it only happens when sponsorship makes it possible.
What You Get
As a Sponsor
Logos on Match Kit
Iron-on logos added to players' match kit, seen at tournaments and in tournament photography and social media.
Scoreboard Advertising
Your logo or advert shown on the scoreboard at home tournaments, at half-time and between matches.
Restaurant Partnerships
Sponsor a Premier League home game and host our hungry players — plus their friends and family — for a meal afterwards.
Social Media
We link to your business, tag you and add your logo, and announce your sponsorship across our website, social media and mailing lists.
Product Sponsorship
Not all support needs to be financial — WUKA gave every female player a free pair of period pants in return for logo space on kit, and several players became paying customers. If your product could help ours, let's talk.
Newsletters
Quarterly newsletters to members and sponsors, celebrating recent results and keeping sponsors connected to the club they're supporting.
Venue Partnerships
Got a hall or community space? Free or reduced-cost hire lets us run more social events — quiz nights, a kids' disco — and in return, dozens of families get a proven venue for their own parties.
Talk to us
There's no fixed package — tell us what you had in mind and we'll work something out.
